NMS Shines at South African Mining Expo, Secures Multiple Equipment Deals On-site

From September 2-6, 2024, the ELECTRA MINING AFRICA 2024 took place in Johannesburg, South Africa. At this prestigious event, which brought together global mining elites and cutting-edge technologies, NMS’s African subsidiary became the center of attention with its exceptional products and innovative solutions.

On display at the event were the large MT1150JC Tracked Mobile Jaw Crushing Plant and the MC500 Multi-cylinder Hydraulic Cone Crusher, both of which attracted significant interest. High-performance spare parts and screen panels showcased NMS’s ability to supply parts promptly in South Africa. The finely crafted models of the 2MLS4385-B Banana Screen and JC1600 Jaw Crusher gave visitors a clear look at the company’s extensive product range, drawing a steady stream of guests to the NMS booth for consultations and inquiries.

On-site Equipment Deal Signed

During the exhibition, NMS secured multiple deals for its tracked mobile crushing and screening plants. These machines will form a mobile crushing production line with an annual capacity of 1 million tons, specifically for processing vanadium-titanium magnetite.

This was the first collaboration between NMS and this client, and the success of the deal was largely due to the hard work and meticulous preparation of NMS’s African subsidiary team. During the early equipment selection phase, the team recommended highly mobile tracked crushing and screening plants tailored to the client’s needs. Using NMS’s proprietary “Flowsheet Designer” software, developed at the company’s Swedish R&D center, the team designed the optimal process flow for the project, providing a full life-cycle solution for the equipment. The client also visited the NMS South African office and warehouse, gaining a deeper understanding of NMS’s strength and comprehensive after-sales service system. After inspecting NMS equipment in use at local sites in South Africa, the client was impressed with its performance, further boosting their confidence in partnering with NMS.

The MT-JC series tracked mobile jaw crushing plant, specifically designed for high-hardness and highly abrasive ores, was a standout at the exhibition. The plant is equipped with the reliable JC series jaw crusher, featuring a deep symmetrical crushing cavity, which maximizes feed size, output, and crushing ratio. This design ensures outstanding performance, even in the most challenging mining conditions.

In addition to its robust jaw crusher, the MT-JC series tracked mobile jaw crushing plant features the high-performance GPF heavy-duty grizzly feeder. The plant’s heavy-duty tracked chassis provides excellent load-bearing capacity and climbing ability, allowing it to traverse tough terrains. It is equipped with dual-speed hydraulic motors that enable it to switch between flat and rugged surfaces. The feeder hopper baffle and discharge conveyor are foldable, and the layout is compact and reasonable. The equipment features one-touch start/stop control via the PLC system and offers dual power options with a diesel generator and grid power.

Another star product, the MC500 multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher, features “efficient lamination crushing” technology, offering high production capacity, excellent crushing efficiency, superior product quality, easy operation, and a high degree of automation..

The MC500 cone crusher has an enlarged moving cone diameter, an increased eccentricity, and a larger feed opening, all of which boost its handling capacity. The equipment features a fixed main shaft and anti-swing mechanism, improving force distribution on the main shaft and enhancing the stability of the moving cone, effectively extending the life of its components. Multiple sets of iron protection cylinders around the machine increase its localized iron-passing capability and reduce stress on the frame. The upper part of the frame is reinforced with flanges and ribs, while the lower part is thickened by 50%. Compared to similar crushers, the speed of the moving cone is increased by 15%, ensuring higher reliability. The main shaft and transmission shaft are made of high-strength alloy and undergo advanced heat treatment processes. Depending on customer needs, moving and fixed cone liners can be supplied with or without filler. The equipment also features a type I dustproof sealing design, offering excellent dust protection. Additionally, it is equipped with a dual protection system consisting of an accumulator and an overflow valve, ensuring faster overload response and greater travel to guarantee safe and stable operation.
